Rich Homie Quan Surrenders to Miami Police Over Alleged Attack on Bouncer

Rich Homie Quan surrendered himself to police yesterday (April 8) after a security guard he is accused of attacking outside a Miami Beach night club brought charges against the rapper. Quan, whose given name is Dequantes Lamar, faces a misdemeanor charge of simple battery according to Miami’s NBC 6.

According to police, Lamar began threatening bouncer Christian Cajigas after being denied entry to Miami Beach’s Club LIV, saying “I’m Rich Homie Quan and I’m a rich millionaire,” and insisting he was with Flo Rida before punching Cajigas multiple times. Lamar and his entourage immediately left the scene on a yacht.

In a statement earlier this monthQuan maintained his innocence, adding that “the investigation into the events of that day is ongoing.”

“There’s a civil suit that’s been filed, it’s all about monetary gain, taking advantage of a celebrity and that’s the whole situation. That’s why we’re here and the truth will come out,” his attorney Rick Corona told NBC 6.
