Regard surges with two chart entries, the steadily-building “Ride It” and new single “Secrets.”
“Ride It” rises 95-80 in its third week on the Billboard Hot 100 (dated May 9), as it earned 17.6 million in all-format radio audience and 3.8 million U.S. streams and sold 3,000 downloads in the tracking week, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.
The track, essentially a house cover of Jay Sean’s 2008 song of the same name, originally broke on Hot Dance/Electronic Songs, debuting last August. It ranks in the top 10, at No. 4, in its 40th week, having reached No. 3 in November.
Concurrently, Regard and RAYE debut at No. 10 on the Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales chart with “Secrets.” The track bows with 1,000 sold, earning the Ferizaj, Kosovo-based Regard (real name: Dardan Aliu) his second top 10 on the list and singer RAYE her third.
“Secrets” also sails onto Hot Dance/Electronic Songs at No. 20, having secured 785,000 streams.
In the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs top 10, Lil XXEL lifts 11-9 with “LMK,” his first song to reach the upper region, driven mostly by 2.1 million streams.
On Dance/Mix Show Airplay, Topic and A7S bolt 16-8 with “Breaking Me,” the first top 10 for both acts. The track benefits from airplay on such core-dance affiliates as Music Choice’s Dance/EDM channel, KNHC (C89.5) Seattle and iHeartRadio’s Evolution Network (as monitored on KZZP-HD2 Phoenix). The Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart measures radio airplay on a select group of full-time dance stations, along with plays during mix shows on nearly 80 top 40-formatted reporters.
