Red Bull Announces Atlanta and Chicago Music Festivals, With Teyana Taylor, Denzel Curry & More Performers

The two festivals will take over all of November 2019, with performances from Ari Lennox, Joey Bada$$, Lupe Fiasco and more -- plus art exhibitions, keynote speeches and other events.

Red Bull is bringing back its Chicago music festival and launching a new version in Atlanta, the music-minded energy drink brand announced today (Sept. 18), with events taking over all of November.

The debut Red Bull Music Festival Atlanta will stretch from Nov. 1 to 15 with performances from Teyana Taylor, Ari Lennox, and Denzel Curry with Joey Bada$$, plus a new portrait exhibition from hip-hop photographer Gunner Stahl and lecture from Quality Control’s Coach K

The fest then touches down in Chicago from Nov. 17 to 30, where Windy City native Lupe Fiasco will perform his debut 2006 album Food & Liquor in full, Tierra Whack will headline her first Chicago show, Saba and his Pivot Gang collective will hold another edition of their John Walt Day charity benefit and more.

“Focused on supporting and shining a light on each city’s unique musical and cultural offerings, Red Bull Music Festival will deliver nights of celebration and education through the voices of Atlanta and Chicago’s native arts & music communities,” reads the press release.

It’s hopeful news for Red Bull, which announced back in April that it was ending its long-running partnership with consultancy company Yadastar, which oversaw the Red Bull Music Academy and its radio station, event and festival series and online publication.

Red Bull has also held festivals in Tokyo, New York City, Moscow, Paris and Los Angeles. Check out the flyer for the newly-announced editions, below.
