BMG has signed producer Jeff  “Gitty” Gitelman to a global publishing administration agreement. The deal includes both the multi-hyphenate musician’s future works and his back catalog, which includes collaborations with H.E.R., Gunna, The Weeknd, J. Cole, Anderson .Paak,  Ty Dolla $ign, Camila Cabello, Jeremih, Chance The Rapper, John Legend, Ben Platt, Florida Georgia Line, Ledisi, Brandy, Usher, Jorja Smith, Kelly Clarkson, Kelly Rowland, Lukas Graham, and more.

Currently, Gitelman is at work executive producing Hozier’s upcoming project, a much anticipated follow up to 2019’s Wasteland, Baby! Gitelman is also serving as the advisor to the Recording Academy Los Angeles Chapter Board as well as in the Advocacy, Professional Development and P&E committees.

In a statement about the new deal, Gitelman says, “I’m extremely excited about this partnership with BMG. Monti Olson has been championing me since the beginning of my career, and Joshua Edmond is one of the hardest working executives I’ve ever met and genuinely believes in my success. Together we’ve already achieved some major accomplishments, hitting goal after goal, and I believe the future of my career is in great hands.”

On the heels of Natalie Hemby‘s recent signing and publishing catalog sale to CTM Outlander, the Nashville songwriter will bring Jody Williams Songs (JWS) onto her management team. The new team will act as local support for the songwriter, helping arrange her songwriting calendar and pitching songs in the Nashville market.

Hemby’s management team will continue to be led by Mick Management’s Adam Sensenbrenner and Jessica Swan.

Hemby is best known as one of the members of The Highwomen — a collaboration between Brandi Carlisle, Maren Morris and Amanda Shires — and for her work, writing with Kacey Musgraves, Maren Morris, Sheryl Crow, Miranda Lambert, Lady Gaga, Yola, Dierks Bentley, Rag & Bone Man, Lady A, Kelly Clarkson, Little Big Town and Labrinth, among many more.

She also works as a solo artist and released her sophomore album Pins and Needles in Oct. 2021 via Fantasy Records.

Anthem Entertainment, a Toronto-based independent music and entertainment content company, now represents songs from Michael Pollack’s publishing catalog. This catalog includes “Memories” by Maroon 5, “Ghost” and “Holy” by Justin Bieber, and “Daisies” by Katy Perry

“Michael Pollack is one of the most prolific young songwriters of our time and we are honored to add his works to our growing catalog. He is also a very talented producer and artist. This deal increases our growing presence in pop and R&B copyrights and complements our diversified catalog of music publishing rights. I am thrilled to add these songs to Anthem Music Publishing’s body of works,” says Helen Murphy, CEO, Anthem Entertainment, of the deal.

S10 Publishing with Avex USA, has signed Kosa to a global co-publishing deal in partnership with Donny “Dizzy” Flores, CEO of We Good. A songwriter, known best for his work on cuts by Bad Bunny, Travis Scott, Future, Lil Baby and more, Kosa’s new deal includes both his back catalog and future works created during the deal’s term.

Brandon Silverstein, founder and CEO of S10, says, “when Dizzy played me Kosa’s music, I immediately knew he was the perfect addition to the S10 Publishing family. He’s incredibly versatile and makes other creatives really feel at home in the studio. I’m so excited for the future for Kosa and I think his latest single “M&M” (with Rvssian, Lil Baby, and Future) is a true testament to his creative ability.”

“When I met Brandon and his team, it was obvious S10 was the right fit for me,” adds Kosa. “We share a vision, and with Brandon’s work ethic and no ego approach and his partners Avex and Dizzy from We Good, this is exactly what I was looking for in a team. I look forward to crushing it together.”

Sentric Music Group is making a concerted move into the U.S. market this year by hiring Simon Perry as its new president and head of a&r, North America. The Liverpool-based independent publisher will have Perry establish operations in North America, recruiting staff in cities like New York City, Los Angeles, Miami, and Atlanta and signing new, local talent.

Prior to his role at Sentric, Perry spent 8 years as Chief Creative Officer and head of a&r at the artist services platform ReverbNation, which was recently acquired by BandLab. Perry is also a working songwriter and producer and began his career in music as a creative, writing with acts like Westlife and Echo and The Bunnymen.

Perry says, “I’m excited to be joining Sentric, particularly at this moment when technology is creating both challenges and opportunities in publishing. As a company, Sentric seems uniquely equipped to address both of those.”

Chris Meehan, CEO of Sentric adds, “With experience as both an artist, writer/producer and an executive, [Perry] brings with him a unique blend of tech expertise and a deep understanding of the creative needs of our writers and artists. I look forward to honing in on that skill set to strengthen our commitment to early-stage artist identification and development.”

Position Music has signed songwriter/producer Kyle Reynolds to a worldwide co-publishing deal, including both his back catalog and future releases.

Known best for his work on songs released by iann dior, Cheat Codes, Gryffin, Benny Benassi, and more, Reynolds says he had not felt “peace with signing a publishing deal until [he] met with Position Music. Their focus and hard work,” he explains, “is undeniable and is one of the many reasons they’re a perfect addition to the team.”

The talent is managed by Hallwood Media’s Cory Litwin and Brennen Bryant.

“I love their team and their approach to pitching music, specifically in synch,” says Litwin. “Kyle is going to have a huge year and this is the perfect fit.”

Bryant adds, “We’re confident in the A&R staff Position Music has built.”

“When it comes to writing big and memorable hooks, we think the sky’s the limit for Kyle Reynolds,” adds Position Music President & CEO Tyler Bacon.

BMG Production Music has announced a new partnership with Ah2 Music, a composing team, founded in 2003 by film scorers Jeff Lippencott and Mark T. Williams. BMG will now oversee worldwide, ex-U.S., publishing administration for the team and the deal will add Lippencott, Williams and the Ah2 team to the BMG Bespoke in-house composer offering.

Amberly Crouse, BMGPM, vp creative licensing U.S., said: “Jeff and Mark have crafted a brilliant collection of music… Partnering with them sees their expertise strengthen the BMGPM offering to clients, including exploring new creative and commercial opportunities with BMG artists and our extensive media partner network. Joining together our collective enthusiasm and high-caliber product, we aim to continue to build on their existing success.”

Wise Music Group has acquired leading Italian indie publisher Baby Angel Music and its extensive catalog. Included in the publisher’s 15,000+ compositions are international hits like “I Know You Want Me” by Pitbull, “Seek Bromance” by Avicii as well as Italian mainstays like “Occidentali’s Karma” by Francesco Gabbani and “Come Neve” by Giogia and Carco Mengoni.

Wise Music’s Chris Butler says of the deal, “Max [Moroldo, founder of BAM] has lovingly built a large and enduring catalogue over many years, and it is our privilege to be the new owners of such a wonderful collection of songs. We look forward to a long relationship with Max as we build our company in Italy and around the world.”
