Prince Royce Clocks 18th No. 1 on Tropical Airplay Chart

Prince Royce secures another No. 1 on the Tropical Airplay chart as “Carita de Inocente,” from his Alter Ego album, rises 2-1 in its seventh week on the chart dated March 28. The tune climbs with 6 million in audience impressions (up 13%) earned in the week ending March 22, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.

”I am surprised and grateful!” Royce tells Billboard. “In a short time ‘Carita de Inocente’ hit No. 1. It’s a fresh, danceable new bachata sound and I’m so happy fans, DJs and radio have embraced it and my new double album!”

For Royce, “Carita” marks his 18th No. 1 since the Tropical Airplay chart’s inception in 1994.  He remains in third place among acts with the most No. 1s on the chart, trailing only Marc Anthony (with 32) and Victor Manuelle (28). “Carita” also marks his 13th No. 1 without a collaboration among his 18 overall leaders.
