The Prince Estate has announced new leadership and development partners for the late artist’s famed Paisley Park complex, of which it assumed management Tuesday (Oct. 1).

Alan Seiffert will serve as executive director of Paisley Park, while entertainment development companies MR-ProFun and Mycotoo will come on board to “enhance the overall experience” for guests of the facility — Prince’s former home and recording studio in Minnesota, which is now a public museum.

“As an experienced entertainment executive, live event producer and brand builder, Alan Seiffert’s exemplary business and artistic IQ — coupled with his lifelong enthusiasm for Prince — uniquely qualifies him to serve as executive director,” representatives for the estate said. “We look forward to advancing the strategic and long-term operational goals of Paisley Park under Alan’s stewardship.”

Seiffert joins Paisley Park from the New York City-based Midnight Blue Management, where he previously served as president. With years of experience in media and entertainment management at his back, he has recently focused on live events such as the Black Girls Rock! Festival, the KPOP Ball Music Festival and the BET Experience. He previously held senior positions at Viacom, NBC Universal, the NBA and FOX Television.

Added Seiffert: “Just as it was for Prince, Paisley Park is more than a building or place — it is a creative laboratory, performance studio, and innovative space offering future generations the chance to create and share their work. I am honored to help bring Prince’s vision to life.”

Meanwhile, entertainment firm Mycotoo has worked with the likes of Universal Studios and Lionsgate, designed attractions for Dubai Parks and Resorts and helped put on an experience tied to HBO’s Westworld at South By Southwest last March. MR-ProFun has brought their consulting and management services to the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame, Warner Bros. Studio Tour, Ferrari World and the NBA Playzone.

Paisley Park had been operated by Graceland Holdings since October 2016. The company’s contract expired at the end of September, upon which the Prince Estate assumed control.

Located about 30 minutes outside of Minneapolis in Chanhassen, the 65,000 square-foot Paisley Park opened to the public as a museum just months after Prince’s death at the complex in April 2016. Prince recorded many of his most famous albums there, including Lovesexy, Batman, Diamonds & Pearls, The Gold Experience, The Black Album, Sign O’ The Times and Emancipation.
