Prince's new collection of unreleased material may, in fact, stay unreleased.
The Deliverance EP that was announced Tuesday with the title track available for early streaming has was removed from iTunes, Apple Music, Amazon Music and Google Play on Wednesday (April 19).
The action comes following a legal challenge on Wednesday from Prince's estate requesting a judge to block the album's release in conjunction with a lawsuit it filed against the EP's producer, sound engineer George Ian Boxill for control of the Deliverance tracks.
Deliverance included six previously unheard tracks recorded from 2006–2008. It was due for a Friday delivery with a physical version scheduled to drop June 2.
