Post Malone Returns to No. 1 on Artist 100 Chart For 13th Week on Top

The singer/rapper reigns as his single “Circles” logs its second week atop the Billboard Hot 100 and its parent LP, Hollywood’s Bleeding, stands at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 (after ruling for five weeks) with 73,000 equivalent album units, according to Nielsen Music.

Post Malone ties Ariana Grande for the fourth-most weeks spent at No. 1 on the Artist 100, dating to the list’s 2014 launch. Taylor Swift holds the record for the most time on top, 37 weeks, followed by Drake (31) and The Weeknd (15).   

The Artist 100 measures artist activity across key metrics of music consumption, blending album and track sales, radio airplay, streaming and social media fan interaction to provide a weekly multi-dimensional ranking of artist popularity.

Rounding out the Artist 100’s top five, Billie Eilish rises 3-2; Jason Aldean vaults 66-3 as his new album, 9blasts onto the Billboard 200 at No. 2 with 83,000 units; Swift holds at No. 4; and Lizzo lifts 6-5.


Among other Artist 100 moves, several legacy artists surge, thanks to gains for their holiday music. Among them, Frank Sinatra leaps 53-26, Bing Crosby surges 84-44 and Vince Guaraldi Trio jumps 83-53, while Andy Williams, Nat King Cole and Brenda Lee re-enter at Nos. 42, 57 and 68, respectively.
