Longtime Warner Music UK exec Peter Breeden has been promoted to chief financial officer, effective immediately. Breeden is taking over the position from Simon Robson, who is leaving to take the role of president, Warner Music Asia Pacific. Breeden, who joined Warner Music in 2001 and rose to finance director in 2012, will be responsible for financial planning, budgeting and reporting for Warner Music UK and Ireland.

Max Lousada, chairman and CEO of Warner’s UK division, said Breeden has been “the backbone of our finance team for many years and his thoughtful approach to our financial planning has been instrumental in helping the UK to consistently deliver growth. His knowledge of our business is second to none and I have no doubt that, in his new role, he will be a valuable addition to our leadership team.”

Breeden has previously held posts at EMI and Universal.

WMUK also announced the promotions of Mike Watson to vp, financial planning; Rupert Lougee to vp, shared services and financial reporting; and Sarah Rishi has been hired away from MTV Europe to be the label’s financial controller. 

Last week, Warner Music Group shuffled its corporate structure with the appointment of Eric Levin as its new head of finance, replacing Brian Roberts who is moving to a newly created position at the label.
