British bands Pet Shops Boys and New Order are heading to North America for a joint headlining tour beginning in September. The electronic acts will band together for The Unity tour set to launch at Budweiser Stage in Toronto.
The 11-date trek will see the groups perform at iconic venues including Madison Square Garden in New York and Gorge Amphitheatre in George, Washington. The Unity tour will close out on Oct. 2 at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.
Both bands will play a full set with the headliner alternating each night.
Pet Shop Boys recently released their fourteenth studio LP, Hotspot, via x2 Records/Kobalt in January. Their greatest hits tour – Dreamworld: The Greatest Hits Live – opens on May 1 at Berlin’s Mercedes Benz Arena and will see Pet Shop Boys perform at arenas across Europe and the UK in May, June and July.
In 2015, New Order released their latest album Music Complete, as well as a new line-up and a newly eclectic sound. Continuing to play sold out shows the world over, recent live dates have seen them headline a four night residency at The Fillmore Miami where January 15 was declared forever New Order Day in the City of Miami Beach.
