Pedro Capo’s ‘En Letra de Otro’ Debuts at No. 5 on Top Latin Albums Chart

Pedro Capo scores his second top five-charting album on the Top Latin Albums chart, as En Letra de Otro arrives at No. 5 (on the Sept. 2-dated list) with a little more than 2,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending Aug. 17, according to Nielsen Music.
Nearly all of Capo’s album units were in traditional album sales, yielding his first No. 1 on Latin Album Sales and best sales week of his career. The new set bests his sophomore LP Aquila, which opened at No. 3 on both Top Latin Albums and Latin Album Sales (a little less than 2,000 sold). The new album’s sales were aided by well-attended in-store events in Capo’s native Puerto Rico during street week (with Capo on hand for the festivities).
Ulices Chaidez y Sus Plebes Hit No. 1: Over on the Regional Mexican Songs chart, UlicesChaidez y Sus Plebes earns its second No. 1, as “Porque Me Enamore” rises 2-1 in its ninth frame.
The song hikes 3 percent to 9.1 million audience impressions in the week ending Aug. 20, according to Nielsen Music. The song has been a slow builder on the chart, gaining in audience every week since its debut on the chart dated July 8.
“Porque Me Enamore” also lifts 11-8 on the Latin Airplay chart, earning the group its second top 10 on the list.
Ozuna Charts Eight Hits on Hot Latin Songs (Again!): Finally, following Ozuna’s release of “Que Va,” with Alex Sensation, on the Aug. 26 chart, Ozuna scores eight total entries on the Hot Latin Songs ranking for the second week in a row. He’s only the fourth artist to ever notch as many entries on the chart at once.

Romeo Santos also scored eight entries on the Jan. 31, 2015-dated list.
The 25-year-old Ozuna achieves the feat days before the release of his debut studio album Odisea on Friday, Aug. 25.
