Paramore returns to the Billboard + Twitter Top Tracks chart, as their latest single “Hard Times” opens at No. 3 on the chart dated May 6. The alt-rock group spent eight weeks on the chart in 2014 with “Ain’t It Fun,” which peaked at No. 31. (The chart launched in 2014, well after the band’s Billboard chart career started in 2006.)
Billboard + Twitter Top Tracks is a weekly ranking of the most shared and/or mentioned songs on Twitter in the U.S., ranked by the volume of shares over a seven-day period (Monday to Sunday). The latest chart’s reflects data collected in the week ending April 23.
Paramore released the single on April 19 via streaming services and bowed its music video on YouTube the same day. The video has surged to 14 million global views since its release (through April 27). The single is set to appear on Paramore’s fifth studio album After Laughter, due out May 12. It’s the band’s first studio release since its self-titled effort, released in April of 2013.
The hype surrounding the group’s long-awaited return increased Paramore’s Twitter mentions to 121,000 for the week ending April 23, according to Next Big Sound.
Meanwhile, Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee’s “Despacito” vaults 44-1 on the Top Tracks chart thanks to a new remix of the song featuring Justin Bieber. The song previously peaked at No. 11 when it debuted on the chart dated Feb. 11 (in an all-Spanish version, sans Bieber). The new remix adds about 30 seconds worth of an English verse from the singer.
“Despacito” becomes the first mostly Spanish-language song to rule the Billboard + Twitter Top Tracks chart in its three-year history. Similarly, the song became the first predominantly Spanish song to reach the top 10 of the Hot 100 in over 20 years — Los Del Rio’s “Macarena (Bayside Boys Remix)” was the last song reach the chart’s top 10.
The song earns Fonsi and Daddy Yankee their first No. 1 spots on the Top Tracks chart, while Bieber tallies his sixth. Ariana Grande and One Direction hold the record for most chart-toppers on the list with seven.

The song arrives after its music video release on April 19, which has surged to 14.5 million global views on YouTube through April 27. The track is slated to appear on Rey’s fifth studio album Lust For Life, due out this year.
The song earns Rey her sixth top 5 song on Top Tracks, while The Weeknd scores his eleventh.
Finally, Harry Styles scores his second Top Tracks appearance, as “Ever Since New York” debuts at No. 17.
