Paquin Artists Agency Nabs Three From UTA Canada

Agents Adam Kreeft and Rob Thornton will work out of PAA's Toronto office

Canada’s Paquin Artists Agency (PAA) has snapped up three former employees of United Talent Agency Canada, which shut its Canadian office this week after an Aug. 1 announcement. Agents Adam Kreeft and Rob Thornton will work out of the Toronto office, along with Sarah Litt who will be taking on the role of assistant.

“With Adam and Rob, we are welcoming two agents who bring a wealth of industry knowledge and experience to a team poised for tremendous growth,” PAA president Julien Paquin said in a statement. “I’m confident that they will both effortlessly integrate into our team; and further foster Paquin’s commitment to our
artists – and their development – in collaboration with our strong relationships within the industry, as well as our dedication to building a strong music community in Canada.”

Kreeft, who joined The Agency Group (TAG) in 2012, which became UTA in 2015, brings with him a roster that includes Dear Rouge, The Dirty Nil, Current Swell, Protest the Hero, and The Flatliners.

“I’m excited to join Paquin, an agency that embraces and embodies what I love about being an agent. Passion for rock has always been my driving force, and Paquin will provide the gnarliest home for my clients,” Kreeft said in a statement, adding that he’s “really psyched” to continue working with Thornton and Litt.

Thornton, who joined TAG in 2007, worked with Yukon Blonde, Hawksley Workman, Reuben and the Dark and others.

PAA’s 160-act roster, such as The Strumbellas, Serena Ryder, Randy Bachman, The Sheepdogs, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Old Crow Medicine Show, Shakey Graves, and Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet, has offices in Winnipeg, Toronto and Vancouver. The agency is a division of Paquin Entertainment Group which has more than 33 years in the business ranging from booking to artist management, corporate consulting and theatre/film.
