Ozuna and Camilo’s “Despeinada” continues its dominance across Billboard Latin charts, as the single leaps from No. 6 to lead the Latin Airplay chart (dated Feb. 6). The song advances thanks to a 35% surge in audience impressions, to 12 million, earned in the week ending Jan. 31, according to MRC Data.
As “Despeinada” is back at No. 1 on Latin Pop Airplay (2-1), where it previously reigned for two weeks (starting on the Jan. 9-dated survey), and concurrently arrives at the penthouse on Latin Rhythm Airplay, it becomes the first song to top all three charts in 2021. Jennifer Lopez and Maluma’s “Pa’ Ti” last achieved the feat on the Dec. 19, 2020-dated list.
Ozuna collects his 22nd Latin Airplay No. 1 and enters into a tie with Daddy Yankee for the third-most since the chart began in 1994. They stand behind Enrique Iglesias, who remains at the helm with 31 No. 1s, and J Balvin with 27.
Camilo, meanwhile secures his fourth, all of which he’s achieved in less than a year; “Si Me Dices Que Sí,” with Reik and Farruko, earned him his first leader in June 2020.
Over on Latin Pop Airplay, Camilo replaces himself at No. 1 for the second consecutive time as “Vida de Rico” dips 1-2 after ruling both the Jan. 23- and the Jan. 30-dated charts where “Despeinada” ranked second.
On the Hot Latin Songs chart, which blends airplay, streams and digital sales, “Despeinada” escalates to a new high, climbing 14-11. With the song, Camilo places four titles on the list, a career high for him: “Despeinada” at No. 11, “Vida de Rico” at No. 12, “Bebe” with El Alfa at No. 39 and “Ropa Cara,” which debuts at No. 45.
