Ozomatli Signs With ONErpm: Listen to New Single ‘Libertad’ (Exclusive)
The Los Angeles band's "Libertad" is 'a song about freedom on both a personal and political level.'

Ozomatli has signed with ONErpm distribution, through which the Los Angeles band will release a new single, “Libertad,” premiering exclusively on Billboard today.
The Grammy-winning band, known for its fusion of Latin street styles, hip hop and rock and its members’ political activism, will release a series of new singles through ONErpm, which will handle distribution and marketing for the group. An unspecified EP/album is expected later this year. The band has also posted the dates for a series of West Coast concerts on its website.
“Libertad, as its name implies, is a song about freedom on both a personal and political level,” Ozomatli’s Wil-Dog tells Billboard. “When we hit the studio, it exploded out of us.” Chali 2na and Cut Chemist recorded with the band on the single for the first time since Ozomatli’s 1998 debut album.
“Libertad” is set for release on Jan. 25. Listen to it now:
