Pithouse is expected to lead a sizable team, though no headcount was given, with employees stationed in key markets around the world. Pithouse, who has been at Sony Music since 2006 and held roles in the U.K. as well as in Australia, understands the global business, having worked on initiatives and campaigns for the likes of Alicia Keys, Mark Ronson, Khalid, P!nk, Future, David Bowie, Daft Punk and more.

The Orchard has traditionally provided distribution and label services in 40-plus markets around the globe, and Pithouse’s team is expected to bring those offerings to artists on a more individual level, provided extended, sustained campaign management alongside more traditional radio promo, PR, production and other services. The team will be working with both direct signings and labels across The Orchard’s distributed labels, Billboard understands.
