Nicky Jam earns his first No. 1 on Hot Latin Songs with “El Perdon,” featuring Enrique Iglesias (who scores his record-extending 26th No. 1 with the climb). The track leaps 6-1, with a 64 percent gain in sales (to 6,000 downloads according to Nielsen Music) in its fifth week on the chart. An urban music fixture, Jam has posted six other tracks on Hot Latin Songs since his first entry in 2004. “El Perdon” is his first single to be released through Sony Music Latin after signing with the label in February.


Pitbull Prospers On Latin Airplay: Pitbull logs his fifth No. 1 as “Piensas (Dile La Verdad),” featuring Gente De Zona, rises 4-1 on Latin Airplay with a 41 percent surge in airplay (rising to 10 million audience impressions for the week). The rapper last topped the list in 2012 as a featured artist on Gusttavo Lima’s “Balada (Tche Tcherere Tche Tche).” Pitbull also makes chart-topping news on the English-language airplay charts as “Time Of Our Lives,” featuring Ne-Yo, steps 2-1 on Rhythmic Songs. The track is his third leader on that list, while Ne-Yo earns his sixth No. 1.

Calibre 50 Crowns: Mexican quartet Calibre 50 scores its fourth No. 1 on Regional Mexican Songs as “Contigo” bolts 10-1 in only its fourth week on the chart. It’s the week’s Greatest Gainer, lifting 64 percent (to 6.8 million audience impressions), also propelling it 24-6 on Latin Airplay. The track logged 541,000 domestic streams during the tracking week ending March 8, a 20 percent jump. The song is the title track to the group’s most recent studio set, which debuted at No. 4 on Top Latin Albums in June 2014.
