Neil Young, Willie Nelson & Stephen Stills to Perform at Los Angeles Autism Benefit
Neil Young, Willie Nelson and Stephen Stills have been announced for the sixth annual Light Up The Blues benefit concert in Los Angeles.
Neil Young, Willie Nelson and Stephen Stills will perform at the sixth annual Light Up The Blues benefit concert in Los Angeles at the the Greek Theatre on May 30. The show starts at 7 p.m. with proceeds going to the non-profit Autism Speaks.
Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, Lucius, Fantastic Negrito, Chris Stills and Oliver Stills will also join the lineup for the event, which will be hosted by Kristen and Stephen Stills. The evening will also feature performances by three artists with autism.
“With this year’s stellar lineup — and a meaningful venue in the Greek Theatre, our hometown favorite — I am itching to get on stage with this crew and support the efforts of Autism Speaks. It’s going to be another exciting and marvelous show!” said Stephen Stills in a release.
Actor and comedian Jack Black will serve as the concert’s emcee, with additional special guests expected to appear.
The May 30 event will celebrate people with autism, while supporting Autism Speaks in its mission to promote solutions, across the spectrum and throughout the life span, for the needs of people with autism and their families. Autism Speaks’ efforts include funding life-enhancing research, increasing early childhood screening and interventions, and improving the transition to adulthood.
“All of the incredible musicians and actors that we have lined up for Light Up the Blues 2020 care deeply about helping people on the autism spectrum and their families, friends and communities thrive and live life to the fullest,” said Kristen Stills in a release. “We are so pleased to be celebrating Autism Speaks’ 15th anniversary and look forward to another moving night to benefit this organization, which continues to strive to create a kinder world for people with autism and those who love and support them.”

Over the years, the Light Up the Blues concerts have featured artists including Neil Young, Crosby, Stills & Nash, John Mayer, Patti Smith, Brandi Carlile, Sheryl Crow, Beck, Burt Bacharach, Don Felder, Jakob Dylan, Nikka Costa and The War on Drugs and have raised millions of dollars in support of the work of Autism Speaks.
Public on-sale starts Friday at 10 a.m. local time.
