Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats Surge to No. 1 on Adult Alternative Songs

"You Worry Me," the lead single from the group's upcoming sophomore effort, reaches No. 1 in only its fourth week.

Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats notch their second No. 1 on Billboard‘s Adult Alternative Songs airplay chart, ruling the Feb. 10-dated tally with “You Worry Me.”

The lead single from Rateliff and co.’s upcoming second album, Tearing at the Seams, jumps 3-1 in just its fourth week. That mark the quickest coronation in over a year, since Kings of Leon‘s “Waste a Moment” also needed only four frames to top the ranking dated Oct. 22, 2016; it eventually reigned for 15 weeks, tying for the second-longest No. 1 run in the chart’s history.

The band previously led with its debut single, “S.O.B.,” for four weeks beginning in October 2015. Between that hit and “Worry,” the group scored two additional top 10s on Adult Alternative Songs: “I Need Never Get Old” and “Look It Here,” which reached Nos. 5 and 7, respectively, in 2016.

“Worry” is also building on the Alternative Songs airplay chart, where it rises 31-29. On Rock Airplay, which measures audience across all three rock radio formats (alternative, adult alternative and mainstream rock), it lifts 28-24, up 25 percent to 3.2 million impressions, according to Nielsen Music. On the Hot Rock Songs chart, which blends radio airplay, streaming and digital sales data, the track climbs 44-38, with 311,000 U.S. streams and 1,000 downloads sold supplementing its radio reach.

Tearing at the Seams is due March 9. It’s Rateliff’s second full-length with his current backing band, although he’s released multiple albums in other incarnations.
