Mozzy Arrested for Gun Possession in Las Vegas: Report

Sacramento's Mozzy was pulled over and arrested for illegal gun possession in Las Vegas Thursday night (July 5).

Mozzy was arrested during a traffic stop in Las Vegas on Thursday night (July 5). According to TMZ, the Sacramento rapper was arrested for gun possession by a prohibited person after law enforcement discovered the loaded weapon in a black backpack.

The 31-year-old was originally pulled over by police in his Maserati late Thursday night for reportedly failing to signal during a lane change and operating a vehicle without license plates. The report adds that Mozzy didn’t have possession of a driver’s license. Once police were prompted to inspect the luxury car, they reportedly found the illegal weapon.

Mozzy, born Timothy Patterson, was previously locked up back in 2014 on a conviction for gun possession and illegal possession of a controlled substance. The former charges could prove costly since he’s labeled as an ex-felon.

Mozzy was eventually released after posting $5,000 bail.
