Moby Scores First Hot 100 Entry Since 2001, With A$AP Rocky

The "Porcelain"-sampling "A$AP Forever" marks Moby's first entry since "South Side," featuring Gwen Stefani.

Moby makes his first visit to the Billboard Hot 100 in 17 years — and his second ever — as A$AP Rocky‘s “A$AP Forever” debuts at No. 65 (on the chart dated April 21). The song features Moby’s vocals from the singer’s Play track “Porcelain,” with Rocky crediting him as a featured artist.

“A$AP Forever” drew 11.4 million U.S. streams and sold 7,000 downloads in the week ending April 12, according to Nielsen Music.

The song earns Moby his first Hot 100 appearance since “South Side,” featuring Gwen Stefani, which peaked at No. 14 in May 2001. The track doubled as the first of Stefani’s 17 solo Hot 100 entries to date.

“Porcelain” never reached the Hot 100 after its July 2000 release, but hit No. 11 on the Adult Alternative Songs chart and No. 18 on Alternative Songs.

Despite his lengthy Hot 100 break, Moby has maintained an active presence on Billboard charts. He’s scored 16 total entries on Top Dance/Electronic Albums since his debut in 2002. His new set, Everything Was Beautiful, And Nothing Hurt, reached No. 6 (March 17).
