Miky Woodz achieves his second top 10 on the Top Latin Albums chart, as Los 90 Piketes debuts at No. 10 on the May 2 survey. Woodz’s third studio album bows with 4,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending April 23, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data, most of which are attributed to streaming activity.
“I’m extremely thankful after hearing that my album arrived in the top 10 on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart,” the Puerto Rican rapper tells Billboard. “I am grateful to God and my family for always taking care of me, to my team for giving their best and my fans for the support.”
Los 90 Piketes was released April 17 via Gold2 Latin/GLAD Empire. It includes collaborations with Zion & Lennox, El Alfa, Tainy, Wisin, J Balvin, Jhay Cortez and Myke Towers.
The set is Woodz’s second top 10 on the list. He secured his first top 10 with first chart entry El OG (No. 6, June 2018).
Los 90 concurrently debuts in the Latin Rhythm Albums chart’s top 10, arriving at No. 7. His fourth straight top 10 debut follows El OG (N0. 5, June 2018), El Cambio de Clima with Bryant Myers (No. 9, Feb. 2019), and El OG Week (No. 9, April 2019).
Luis Fonsi Sways Onto the Charts: Over on the Hot Latin Songs chart, Luis Fonsi makes his 37th entry, as “Sway” debuts at No. 21. The song was introduced on the April 20 episode of NBC’s Songland, where Fonsi was the guest artist and judge. The track was co-written by Songland contestant PipoBeats (Fillipo Gabella) and was selected by Fonsi as the episode’s winning song. Fonsi performed it on the show and released it the same night.
It’s Fonsi’s highest debut since November 2018, when “Imposible,” with Ozuna, arrived at No. 11. The Hot Latin Songs chart blends airplay, digital sales and streaming data,
The tune’s arrival on the chart is mainly powered by sales: The song sold 8,000 U.S. downloads in the week ending April 23 and bows at No. 1 on the Latin Digital Sales chart. “Sway” is Fonsi’s first new No. 1 on the list since December 2017, when “Echame La Culpa,” with Demi Lovato, spent one week atop the chart (Dec. 9, 2017).
