Matt & Kim Cancel Tour After Kim’s Onstage Leg Injury
Electro duo Matt and Kim have cancelled four tour dates after drummer Kim Schifino suffered a leg injury during a performance in Morelos, Mexico on March 25.

Electro duo Matt and Kim have canceled their remaining tour dates after drummer Kim Schifino suffered a leg injury during a performance in Morelos, Mexico, on March 25.
Vocalist and keyboardist Matt Johnson helped document the pair’s on-and-offstage mishaps for their “Matt and Kim Show Ya Stuff” YouTube series, including the moment when Schifino tore her ACL after landing incorrectly from a jump to avoid hitting a fan.
Schifino managed to play five songs after the incident but had to end the show early because of the pain. She managed to maintain her sense of humor throughout the ordeal, though: In part two of the “What Happened to Kim” videos, Schifino is lying in an ambulance and tells the paramedics, “I haven’t waxed in a while, guys,” as they adjust her legs.
The band estimates a nine-month recovery period before they can resume their tour.
