Sony Music International just nabbed a worldwide agreement with Martin Garrix.
The 20-year-old producer and DJ has been one of the biggest names in electronic music since he first came to prominence in 2013 with smash hit “Animals.” The single has sold more than 10 million copies to date, according to a press release. Garrix’ first release with Sony will be “In The Name of Love” featuring Bebe Rexha, out Friday, July 29.
“Martin is one of the pre-eminent DJ/producers and songwriters in the world today,” said Adam Granite, President of Northern, Eastern Europe, Africa, and Sony International, in a press release. “We couldn’t be more excited to welcome him and his team to the Sony Music family.”
“I’m super excited to be working with such a hungry and passionate team at Sony Music Entertainment,” Garrixx said in the release. “Their forward thinking approach to streaming and incredible roster of talented artists combined with their passion and understanding for my vision of the future of my music made this a no brainer.”
