The singer sued FEG Entretenimientos in January 2017, claiming their late payments gave her the right to cancel shows in Argentina in Chile and still be paid in full. The promoter countersued both the artist and her company, claiming Carey was required to give the company 48 hours to address any issues before being able to terminate their deal and that she defamed them on Twitter.
A New York federal judge has dismissed the breach of contract claim against Carey and the defamation claim against both Carey and Mirage.
