MAMAMOO land their latest hit on Billboard‘s World Digital Song Sales chart as new track “Destiny” debuts at No. 7 on the chart dated Nov. 9, 2019. The tempo-hopping, Western-inspired track was released as part of the K-pop singing show Queendom, where six female acts performed and competed against one another week or week for audience votes and chart points. It all came down to the Oct. 25, finale performance episode where where all six acts released a new song on the same day as part of the Queendom <Final Comeback> EP and create a healthy chart competition.

Along with MAMAMOO, who were the Billboard chart favorites going into the competition with six Top 10 entries to date on World Digital Song Sales and seven overall, the quartet competed alongside (G)I-DLE (five Top 10s overall), AOA (four Top 10s), Oh My Girl (one), Lovelyz (none so far), as well as Park Bom (three who have three Top 10 hits on her own and earned 16 with her former group 2NE1).

(G)I-DLE and Park Bom also managed to bow on World Digital Song Sales this week as the former group’s “Lion” landed at No. 13, while the latter star’s “Wanna Go Back” starts at No. 18. The releases from the remaining three did not manage to enter this week’s tally.

While MAMAMOO can claim themselves queens of Queedom for now, next week’s chart update could shake things up following the music video release of (G)I-DLE’s “Lion” that helped its sales surge last week. As the only act to release an official music video to their Queendom track, (G)I-DLE could ultimately rise above the competition.

Still, MAMAMOO fans won’t have to wait long to see their girls back on the charts. The foursome has been teasing their upcoming Reality in Black album, and new single “Hip,” set for release this week on Nov. 14. Take a look at MAMAMOO’s “Destiny” performance on the Queendom finale below:
