The single, which concurrently opens at No. 8 on the Latin Digital Song Sales chart, sold 2,000 downloads and earned just under 2 million streams in the week ending Sept. 28, according to Nielsen Music. Much of the streams can be attributed to the song’s music video, which has collected 11 million global views on YouTube since its posting on Sept. 21.
Trevejo, who signed with Universal Music Latin’s In-Tu Línea label earlier in 2017, rose to notoriety through her social media following. The singer boasts 4 million followers on Instagram and 1.7 million followers on Musical.ly.
Calibre 50 Scores Ninth Top 10 Hot Latin Songs Hit: Elsewhere on the Hot Latin Songs chart, Calibre 50 notches its ninth top 10 hit, as “Corrido de Juanito” ascends 14-9 in its sixth charting frame.
The song rises in all metrics, hiking 11 percent to 1.2 million audience impressions in the week ending Oct. 1; seven percent in streaming to 4 million; and another seven percent in sales to 3,000 downloads sold.
The airplay bump also helps “Corrido de Juanito” climb 4-3 on the Regional Mexican Airplay chart in its seventh frame. The song is the group’s 14th top five hit, the ninth-most top five hits in the chart’s history.
The single also earns the chart’s Greatest Gainer honors for digital song sales, surging 41 percent to 2,000 downloads sold.
