Veteran music executive Lyor Cohen and prominent art world figure Xin Li are tying the knot this weekend at the former Warner Music chief’s Hamptons home, Billboard has confirmed. According to Page Six, invitations for the nuptials included a collection of 45s from a range of artists.
Cohen met Xin Li, a former model and basketball player from China, while vacationing in St. Barts in late 2014 and they became engaged several months later. In a Town & Country article from May of 2014, Xin Li is described as “the most valuable speed-dial in the art world”; she is the deputy chairman of Christie’s Asia.
In another profile of Li, this time from W magazine, published since their engagement, it is revealed that Alexander McQueen’s Sarah Burton is designing her wedding dress.
Currently the co-founder and CEO of label 300 Entertainment, home of Fetty Wap and Young Thug, Cohen rose to prominence in the world of hip-hop as president of Def Jam and later Island Def Jam Music Group before leaving for WMG in 2004.
Cohen’s previous marriage ended in 2006 after 13 years.
