Following weeks of rumors, the 2013 Lollapalooza lineup was officially revealed on Monday (Apr. 1), with a lot of expected names at the top of the bill. The Cure, Mumford & Sons, the Killers, Nine Inch Nails and Phoenix will all perform at the festival, once again taking place at Grant Park in Chicago.

After Phoenix headlines Coachella and Mumford & Sons takes top billing at Bonnaroo, the pair of Glassnote bands will head to Chicago for Lollapalooza, which will run from Aug. 2-4. As reported last month, Nine Inch Nails will also be part of the festival, as part of the group’s comeback tour that will run into 2014.

The Killers will return to Grant Park after last playing Lollapalooza in 2009, and the Cure will be making its long-awaited Lolla debut as a headliner. The Killers released fourth studio album “Battle Born” last September, while the Cure’s last studio effort was 2008’s “4:13 Dream.” According to a press release, the Killers and NIN will headline Friday, Aug. 2; Mumford & Sons and the Postal Service will top the Aug. 3 bill; and the Cure and Phoenix will close things out on Aug. 4.

Lollapalooza Israel Canceled: ‘We’re Sorry’

Other notable performers at this year’s festival include the reunited synth-pop duo the Postal Service, country star Eric Church, reinvigorated rapper 2 Chainz and endlessly analyzed songstress Lana Del Rey. Queens of the Stone Age, who announced that their next album will be released in June, will also rock out in Grant Park after debuting new music at Lollapalooza Brazil last weekend.

Most of the major Lollapalooza performers were leaked last month, and $200 “early bird” passes went on sale on Mar. 26. Last year’s Lollapalooza lineup was topped by the Black Keys, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jack White and the reunited Black Sabbath.
