Live Music Marks Record Year in Spain
2018 tops five consecutive years of growth for touring income in Spain; Bruno Mars was the year's top act.

Live music made more money than ever in Spain in 2018, capping five consecutive years of touring income growth.
According to the Live Music annual report published by the Spanish Musical Promoters Association (APM), concerts took in 333.9 million euros last year (almost $377 million).
The report cited the lowering of a government cultural tax and an increase in tourism as two reasons for the growth in the live music sector in 2018, a year highlighted by concerts by international draws like Guns N’ Roses and Iron Maiden, and touring Latin stars including Luis Miguel and Alejandro Fernández, who each played eight dates in Spain.
Bruno Mars had the year’s top tour in Spain; 110,000 attended his two shows. Mars was followed by Ricky Martin, who attracted 79,657 people over 10 shows, and Shakira, whose five performances brought a total audience of 71,000.
