News broke Monday (July 29) that Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road,” featuring Billy Ray Cyrus, has officially made Billboard chart history, marking its 17th week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The other two songs he topped were Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee‘s “Despacito,” featuring Justin Bieber, and “One Sweet Day” by Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men, which each lasted at the top of the chart for a solid 16 weeks.
Anyone who follows Lil Nas on Twitter knows that he has a pretty big Internet presence and that his feed is pretty hilarious; the young rapper welcomes memes with open arms.

The craziest thing is I was following Lil Nas X a whole year before he blew up. The artist in your mentions with 23 followers and 2 plays on his pinned video is probably a star and you never know
