LeAnn Rimes apparently doesn’t mind sharing. In great style, the singer wished The Chainsmokers congratulations on Monday (March 20) for tying her record of 32 weeks in the Billboard Hot 100 chart’s top 10 with their smash single “Closer.”

Rimes’ “How Do I Live” spent 32 weeks in the top 10 (peaking at No. 2) beginning Dec. 13, 1997 — a feat “Closer” matched last week (on the chart dated March 25). The record, meanwhile, stays intact since “Closer” fell out of the top 10 to No. 13 this week.

To celebrate, Rimes shared a video of her performing a live acoustic version of “How Do I Live” that segued into “Closer.”

“Hey guys, congratulations,” she said in the video. “I’ve held this [record] for 20 years and I’m really proud of you guys and happy for you, so enjoy.”

The Halsey-featuring “Closer” spent 12 weeks at No. 1 on the Hot 100 beginning Sept. 3 and, until this week, had charted all of its weeks on the Hot 100 in the top 10 (dating to its Aug. 20 debut at No. 9). “Closer” also holds the record for most weeks totaled in the Hot 100’s top five: 27.
