Lauren Daigle‘s Look Up Child logs its 38th week at No. 1 on Billboard‘s Top Christian Albums chart (dated July 13), tying for the longest reign since the tally became a weekly survey, and adopted Nielsen Music data, in April 1995.

The set matches the 38-week rule of Switchfoot’s The Beautiful Letdown, beginning in 2004-05.

Child leads the latest list with 10,000 equivalent album units earned (up 1%) in the week ending July 4, according to Nielsen Music.

Daigle’s third full-length was released on Sept. 7, 2018, and debuted at No. 1 on Top Christian Albums with 115,000 units (103,000 in traditional album sales) on the chart dated Sept. 22, 2018. Concurrently, the LP launched at No. 3 on the all-genre Billboard 200, boasting the largest week for a Christian music album since the chart began ranking albums by equivalent album units in late 2014.

To date, Child has earned 915,000 equivalent album units, with 527,000 in traditional sales.

Child’s impressive run has been bolstered by the performance of its lead single, “You Say,” which rolls into its 50th week atop the Hot Christian Songs list, which blends streaming, airplay and sales data. The song is the second-longest-leading No. 1 on Hot Christian Songs, dating to the chart’s 2003 launch, trailing only Hillsong United’s “Oceans (Where Feet May Fail),” which dominated for 61 weeks starting in December 2013.

“Say” became Daigle’s fourth leader on the list when it blasted 33-1 on July 28, 2018.

The track tops Christian Digital Song Sales for a record-extending 47th week, with 6,000 downloads sold in the tracking week. It drew 5 million U.S. streams and paces Christian Streaming Songs for a 46th week, the second-longest rule after Skillet’s aptly titled “Monster” logged 236 on-top weeks beginning in December 2013; it ranks at No. 2 this week, having yet to depart the top five. “Say” led the Christian Airplay chart for 17 weeks starting last September.

On Hot Gospel Songs, Kirk Franklin‘s “Love Theory” ranks at No. 1 for a 23rd week. It tops Gospel Digital Song Sales for a 19th week (1,000 sold) and Gospel Airplay for a 12th week, while corralling 911,000 streams.

With 23 weeks atop Hot Gospel Songs, Franklin’s “Theory” ties titles by himself and Tamela Mann for the ninth-longest-leading No. 1. His “I Smile” led for 23 frames starting in April 2011 and Mann’s “Change Me” did so beginning in September 2017.

Marvin Sapp’s “Never Would Have Made It” holds the record with 46 weeks at No. 1 starting in August 2007, with Franklin right behind with “Wanna Be Happy?,” which reigned for 45 weeks commencing in September 2015.

“Theory” became Franklin’s seventh Hot Gospel Songs No. 1 when it debuted atop the chart dated Feb. 9.
