When New York City’s  Roseland Ballroom shuts its doors this April, it will certainly go out in style. Today, Lady Gaga announced plans to close out the venue with a string of four concerts: March 28, 30, 31, and April 2.

The 3,500-seat theater is a big undersell for Gaga, as fans will get to see the New York native in much smaller confines than normal. Members of the Gaga fan community LittleMonsters.com will have the first crack at presale tickets; randomly selected members will receive invitations and codes to purchase codes on Thursday, Nov. 21.

The Live Nation venue, owned by developer Larry Ginsberg, first opened at its current 52nd Street location in 1958 as a converted skating rink. It evolved from a 1920s ballroom dancing spot to the site of concerts from the likes of Madonna and the Rolling Stones. A previous incarnation opened in 1918 at 51st Street and Broadway

Gaga, fresh off hosting and serving as musical guest on “Saturday Night Live” last weekend, released her new album “ARTPOP” last week. It is expected to unseat Eminem’s “The Marshall Mathers LP 2” for the top spot on the Billboard 200.
