Kygo Collects 16th Top 10 on Hot Dance/Electronic Songs Chart With ‘Freedom’

Plus, moves for Afrojack, Anabel Englund & Lodato.

Kygo earns his 16th top 10 on Billboard‘s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart (dated May 2) with the No. 9 debut of “Freedom,” featuring Zak Abel, who earns his first top 10.

Kygo boasts the third-most top 10s dating to the chart’s January 2013 inception, after The Chainsmokers (19) and Calvin Harris (18).

Continuing an impressive run, “Freedom” is the Norwegian DJ/producer’s third top 10 debut in four weeks, following “I’ll Wait,” with Sasha Sloan (No. 5, April 18), and “Like It Is,” with Zara Larsson and Tyga (No. 5, April 11). The newest track earned 2.3 million U.S. streams and sold 4,000 downloads in the tracking week ending April 23, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data. Concurrently, “Freedom” flies in at No. 2 on Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales.

Shifting to Dance/Mix Show Airplay, Afrojack jumps 11-5 for his 10th top 10 with “All Night,” featuring Ally Brooke, who achieves her first as a soloist; Fifth Harmony, with Brooke as a member, notched two in 2015-16. The track also ascends 47-36 on Hot Dance/Electronic Songs, driven by 220,000 streams.

Two other acts reach the Dance/Mix Show Airplay top 10. Anabel Englund earns her first top 10 on any Billboard chart with “So Hot” (12-7), while Lodato logs his second on the survey with “Good” (17-8), following the No. 1 “Home” in November.
