Nirvana’s Krist Novoselic will join The Doors’ John Densmore and Robby Krieger for a special performance for the Homeward Bound Concert this Thursday (Jan. 23) at The Wiltern in Los Angeles. Red Light Management and Live Nation have teamed up to present the first-ever Homeward Bound Concert to benefit LA-based non-profit PATH (People Assisting The Homeless).
“LA is experiencing a double digit increase in homelessness and we wanted to create something to help get provide resources to get people off the streets,” said Jonathan Shank from Red Light, who is helping produce the Homeward Bound. “Ever small bit helps and thats what we as humans need to recognize — if every person had a little to give back, we’d be in a much better place.”
Homeward Bound will highlight the music of The Doors with performances from Jason Mraz, Ingrid Michaelson, Dave Stewart, Scarypoolparty and Fitz & The Tantrums.
A silent auction will launch on Wednesday (Jan.23) and be open for a week with exclusive experiences and items including meet and greets with Katy Perry and Lionel Richie, Sheppard Fairy and Henry Diltz artist prints, tickets to Maroon 5, signed instruments from Krieger, tickets to the 2020 American idol finale and more.
