The song steps 2-1 on Rap Airplay in its 15th week, logging 47.1 million audience impressions, up 6 percent.
Jones originally released “Don’t Mind” in the summer of 2015, but it wasn’t until early 2016 that it began to receive significant airplay. A recent signee of DJ Khaled’s We the Best label, Jones’ song was often featured in the producer’s popular Snapchats.
The catchy pop appeal of the song has helped it find its footing across multiple formats. “Don’t Mind” simultaneously reaches a new peak on the Pop Songs airplay chart, rising 18-15. It also spends a second week in the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, stepping 10-9.
YG Arrives: Rapper YG bows at No. 3 on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums with his sophomore studio set Still Brazy, arriving with 28,000 copies sold in the week ending June 23. The Compton MC first appeared on the chart in 2014 when his debut effort My Krazy Life entered at No. 1 (61,000 copies).
Over on the overall Billboard 200 chart, Still Brazy comes in at No. 6, with 38,000 equivalent units earned.
The Game’s Top Five Debut: Fellow Compton rapper The Game follows YG on Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, taking the No. 4 spot with Streets of Compton, entering with 15,000 copies sold. The set accompanies a three-part A&E documentary series of the same name, which first aired on June 9. The series explores the rapper’s Compton upbringing and the city’s cultural impact on gangsta rap.
The album’s entry gives The Game his eighth top-five debut on the chart. His previous entries: The Documentary 2 and The Documentary 2.5 debuted at No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, in 2015 after being released one week apart (Oct. 8 and Oct. 15).
D.R.A.M. and Lil Yachty Soar: D.R.A.M. leaps 27-18 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs with “Broccoli,” featuring Lil Yachty. The track rises into the top 20 in its second charting frame, aided by 4.8 million domestic streams in the week ending June 23 (a 35 percent increase). Digital sales climb 59 percent, to 21,000 downloads, also supporting its swift rise. Over on the Billboard Hot 100, the track jumps 87-65.
“Broccoli” is D.R.A.M.’s first charting song on the chart. In 2015, his debut charting track on any chart, “Cha Cha,” reached No. 14 on Hot R&B Songs.
For Lil Yachty, “Broccoli” is his second charting entry, following a one week stint at No. 49 on the chart (dated June 4) as a feature on Chance the Rapper’s “Mixtape,” which also features Young Thug. The song was spurred onto the chart following Chance the Rapper’s streaming-only release of Coloring Book.
Lil Yachty concurrently scores his third chart entry as his song “One Night (Extended)” bows at No. 42. The track comes from the rapper’s debut album, Lil’ Boat, released in April.
