Kenshi Yonezu just added another accolade to his ever-growing list of accomplishments, as his official YouTube channel sailed past 4 million subscribers, currently No. 1 among J-pop artists by a long shot.
The Japanese singer-songwriter’s music videos continue to attract an astounding number of viewers, with the visuals for his monster hit song “Lemon” recently reaching 430 million, his DAOKO collab “Uchiage Hanabi” 290 million, and “Eine Kleine” at 200 million views.
Eight of his videos have exceeded the 100 million mark, including the aforementioned three, plus “LOSER,” “orion,” “Peace Sign,” “Haiiro to Ao” with Masaki Suda, and “Flamingo.” His official channel has amassed a total of more than 2 billion views as of Friday (Aug. 9).
The 28-year-old hitmaker’s latest offering is his own rendition of “Paprika,” a song he wrote for the children’s group Foorin. His theme song for the ongoing TV drama series No Side Game, called “Uma to Shika,” will drop Sept. 11.
