Kelsea Ballerini Enters the Country Airplay Chart’s Top 10, Luke Combs Rolls Lucky 7th Week at No. 1

Kelsea Ballerini banks her sixth top 10 on Billboard's Country Airplay chart, as "Miss Me More" rises 11-10 on the tally dated April 13.

Kelsea Ballerini banks her sixth top 10 on Billboard‘s Country Airplay chart, as “Miss Me More” rises 11-10 on the tally dated April 13. The song ascends with 20.9 million audience impressions, up 6%, in the latest tracking week, according to Nielsen Music.

Ballerini makes her first trip to the top 10 since “Legends” led the list for a week in February 2018. She hit No. 1 with her first three singles in 2015-16: “Love Me Like You Mean It,” “Dibs” and “Peter Pan.”

Notably, “Miss” marks the first Country Airplay top 10 by a female artist since the chart dated Dec. 1, 2018, when Maren Morris’ “Rich” ranked at its No. 4 peak.

In the same December to mid-April span a year earlier, two songs by solo women hit the top 10: Morris’ “I Could Use a Love Song” and Ballerini’s “Legends,” both of which hit No. 1.

The same stretch a year before yielded three top 10s by females: Carrie Underwood’s “Dirty Laundry,” the No. 1 “Road Less Traveled” by Lauren Alaina and Ballerini’s “Yeah Boy.”

STILL “CRAZY” Luke Combs‘ “Beautiful Crazy” rules Country Airplay for a seventh week (38.6 million, down 4%).

“Crazy” is now tied for the second-longest rule in the history of Country Airplay, which launched in 1990, matching Tim McGraw’s “Live Like You Were Dying” (2004), Kenny Chesney’s “There Goes My Life” (2003-04), Darryl Worley’s “Have You Forgotten” (2003) and Chesney’s “The Good Stuff” (2002).

Only one week stands between Combs’ fifth leader and the two longest-leading No. 1s, both with eight weeks in the penthouse: Alan Jackson and Jimmy Buffet’s “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere” (2003) and Lonestar’s “Amazed” (1999).
