(G)I-DLE & VERIVERY Added to KCON New York Concert Lineup
K-pop acts (G)I-dle and VERIVERY were added to KCON New York's lineup today.

There’s less than two months until KCON New York, and the lineup is still growing. On Thursday (May 9), the K-pop convention and concert event announced that it has added girl group (G)I-DLE and boy band VERIVERY to its lineup.
The two acts join previously announced K-pop group AB6IX, ATEEZ, EVERGLOW, IZ*ONE, NU’EST, SF9 and TXT as performers during concerts that will be held at Madison Square Garden on July 6 and 7.
Six-member girl group (G)I-DLE got their start last year and shot to fame with the one-two punch of their dynamic singles “Latata” and its follow-up “Hann (Alone).” They released their newest single “Senorita” and I Made album in February, and landed their second top five album on the World Albums chart.
Two of the members, Soyeon and Miyeon, also gained much attention for their work last year in League of Legends’ K/DA, a virtual K-pop girl group voiced by the pair along with Madison Beer and Jaira Burns.
VERIVERY is a new, seven-member boy band that got their start in January and have released bright, upbeat songs ever since. They released their first single “Ring Ring Ring” that month, and followed it up in April with the release of “From Now,” and KCON New York marks their first appearance in the U.S.
KCON 2019 New York will be held at Manhattan’s Javits Center and Madison Square Garden over the first weekend of July. In past years, it was held at Newark, New Jersey’s Prudential Center. Tickets for the concert go on sale May 22, while tickets for the convention tickets will be made available as of May 24.
