Kaskade and Logic have been tapped to headline the third annual Sun Soaked festival in Long Beach, Calif. The beachside festival will also expand from one day to two as it returns with sets from Quinn XCII, BROHUG, CID and Aokay.
“Sun Soaked is such a personal love letter from me to summer,” Kaskade said in a release. “I’ve never gotten over that feeling when you’re young and the days seem endless and you’re just cool and sunkissed dripping in sweat. Now I have the opportunity to add the perfect soundtrack for those moments, add some out-there visuals and party elements and stretch it out over a whole weekend. It’s my dream scenario, and if I can have the company of sun + sand lovers with me, then all the better.”
In 2017, Kaskade introduced the inaugural Southern California festival to 12,000 fans. For its sophomore year, Sun Soaked sold 30,000 tickets for the festival in roughly 30 minutes.
Kaskade has now teamed up with Live Nation for the third annual event that will take place from July 13-14.
“We’re thrilled to support Kaskade’s vision for the newly expanded Sun Soaked Festival,” said Live Nation president of booking in Los Angeles Rich Best in a release. “The two-day event is an idyllic summer weekend for the Long Beach community and beyond.”
The weekend lineup will also feature a DJ set from Grimes, Charly Jordan, Kendoll, Nox Vahn, Wenzday, Zaya and a special Redux set from Kaskade.
The festival grounds will include waterslides, sand sculptures and shade features to enhance the fan experience. In addition, Sun Soaked will host a week-long series of free community events leading up to the festival from July 8-14. Activities will include yoga classes, pro skateboarding exhibitions, a public skatepark, beach days with sand castle building and more.
