Kacey Musgraves’ Golden Hour album — basking in the glow of its four Grammy Award wins on Feb. 10, including album of the year — is set to re-enter the Billboard 200 chart next week with a massive gain in units earned.
According to industry forecasters, the album, which debuted and peaked at No. 4 last April, is poised to re-enter the chart dated Feb. 23, straight into the top 15, with perhaps 25,000 to 28,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending Feb. 14. That would represent a gain of around 340 to 400 percent, as compared to what the album tallied in the week ending Feb. 7: 6,000 units, according to Nielsen Music.
Golden Hour won Grammy Awards for album of the year and best country album, while its songs “Butterflies” and “Space Cowboy” also took home trophies, for best country solo performance and best country song, respectively.
A number of other albums are likely to nab chart increases (or re-entries) following exposure on the Grammy Awards. Among them: Post Malone’s beerbongs & bentleys, Cardi B’s Invasion of Privacy, Drake’s Scorpion, Brandi Carlile’s By the Way, I Forgive You, H.E.R.’s self-titled set, Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s A Star Is Born soundtrack, Dolly Parton’s hits package Ultimate Dolly Parton and Janelle Monae’s Dirty Computer.
