Justin Timberlake‘s former No. 1 Billboard Hot 100 hit “Can’t Stop the Feeling!” soared to the top of the Billboard + Twitter Trending 140 chart after his performance to open the 89th Academy Awards Sunday (Feb. 26), broadcast live on ABC.
The Billboard + Twitter Trending 140 chart measures the real-time acceleration of conversation around artists and their music on Twitter.
The song reached No. 1 on the chart shortly after Timberlake’s Oscars performance at 8:30 p.m. ET. He added a spin to his rendition by incorporating vocals from Bill Withers’ 1978 hit “Lovely Day” at the song’s end.
“Feeling” debuted at No. 1 on the Hot 100 dated May 28, 2016, and is from the soundtrack to the film Trolls. The single earned Timberlake his first Oscar nomination, for best original song.
