Jenny Lewis dropped her new song “Red Bull & Hennessy” on Wednesday (Jan. 23). Lewis’ sweet voice seduces the listener as she sings about wanting to be with her lover.

Her vocal mastery is showcased as the former Rilo Kiley singer gives just the right amount of emotion while keeping the track’s effertless flow. The pop-rock guitar complements her voice and provides a throwback element, making the song sound timeless. Evenmore, the funky guitar solo keeps the high energy pulsing until the end.

The track is from Lewis’ fourth solo album, On the Line, set for release on March 22. Her first record since 2014 will include songs with Beck, Benmont Tench, Don Was, Jim Keltner, Ringo Starr and Ryan Adams as her backup band — though she has not yet released who will feature on what.
