Billboard is adding a new panel to this year’s Live Music Summit, at the Montage in Beverly Hills. On Nov. 14 at 3:45 pm, Billboard will host “Unmanageable: A Conversation with Industry Legend Irving Azoff Moderated by his Son and Business Partner Jeffrey Azoff.” The conversation covers Irving Azoff’s rich past in the music business as well as his thoughts on the current (and future) state of entertainment. We also hear they’ll have a few stories that probably shouldn’t be made public.
Irving is one of the biggest managers in music, while his son Jeffrey has his own impressive client roster that includes Harry Styles, HAIM and Charlie XCX. Earlier this year, Azoff Music Management acquired MSG’s 50-percent interest in Azoff MSG Entertainment for $125 million, forming the newly created The Azoff Company.

Billboard is also pleased to announce that Sebastian Maniscalco will sit with Billboard’s Dave Brooks for a 30-minute Q&A covering the breakout comedian’s fast-rising career, including his four sellout shows at Madison Square Garden in New York in early 2019. A fast-rising “comedian’s comedian” who has earned praise from Tony Danza and Jerry Seinfeld, Maniscalco will discuss his rapid rise in the comedy space and his upcoming film projects, including “Green Book” staring Mahershala Ali and Viggo Mortensen, and the upcoming Martin Scorcese film “The Irishman.” Maniscalco replaces Taylor Bennett, who had to cancel his Q&A for personal reasons. Scott Clayton from WME also had to cancel his Q&A because of a prior commitment.
Finally, this year’s conference programming will close out with the panel “Shattering The Stigma: It’s Time To Talk About Mental Health.”
The music industry is at a crisis point, with many musicians, artists and touring professionals grappling with a mental health epidemic that is largely going untreated. Studies show that the music community is most vulnerable to high rates of substance abuse and untreated mental illness. This panel of music industry leaders, entrepreneurs and mental health professionals will discuss this emerging societal mega-trend, the music industry’s unique opportunity to shape culture and destigmatize the issue, and the opportunities for people to find support given the new wave of digital solutions.
Moderated by Brooks this panel includes manager Nick Jarjour with Maverick, licensed therapist and MusiCare’s senior director Erica Krusen, communications and music industry veteran Kathryn Frazier from Biz 3, AEG Presents president of Global Touring and Talent Gary Gersh and Phil Schermer and Sabrina Abskhan from Project Healthy Minds.
