Hot 100 Chart Moves: ‘Top Off’ Is JAY Z & Beyonce’s First Top 40 Hit Together Since ‘Drunk in Love’ in 2014

As previously reported, Drake‘s “God’s Plan” tops the Billboard Hot 100 chart for a seventh week.
Meanwhile, Bruno Mars and Cardi B‘s “Finesse,” which returns to its No. 3 high on the Hot 100, takes over at No. 1 on the Radio Songs chart, where Mars passes Usher for the most leaders among male acts. Plus, Bebe Rexha and Florida Georgia Line‘s “Meant to Be” ascends to the Hot 100’s top five (7-5) and Zedd, Maren Morris and Grey reach the Hot 100’s top 10 with “The Middle,” which rises 11-8.

“Top Off,” DJ Khaled feat. JAY-Z, Future & B
The track (on which Beyoncé is credited as B) debuts at No. 22 on the Hot 100, sparked by its No. 2 start on Digital Song Sales (43,000 downloads sold, according to Nielsen Music) and No. 26 arrival on Streaming Songs (15.5 million U.S. streams).
Notably, the song marks JAY-Z’s 97th Hot 100 entry, moving him closer to potentially becoming the fifth act with at least 100 appearances. The Glee Cast leads with 207, followed by Drake (161), Lil Wayne (137) and Elvis Presley (108, with the Hot 100 having launched in 1958, two years after his breakthrough hits in 1956).
Further, “Top Off” marks JAY-Z and Beyonce’s first shared top 40 Hot 100 hit since the No. 2-peaking “Drunk in Love” in 2014. It’s their ninth total collaborative Hot 100 entry (and fifth top 40 such song):

The song reaches the Hot 100’s top 20, jumping 24-19. It climbs 19-11 on Digital Song Sales (26,000 downloads sold, up 24 percent); holds at No. 22 on Radio Songs (46 million in airplay audience, up 12 percent); and pushes 38-29 on Streaming Songs (14.1 million U.S. streams, essentially even week-over-week).
As its new proper video premiered March 8, the follow-up to Cabello’s first Hot 100 No. 1, “Havana,” featuring Young Thug (now at No. 6), could sport further gains on next week’s charts, which will reflect the March 9-15 streaming and sales tracking week.
“No Excuses,” Meghan Trainor
The lead single from Trainor’s forthcoming third LP starts at No. 46 on the Hot 100, led by its No. 3 entrance on Digital Song Sales (42,000 sold), where it’s her seventh top 10.
The song is the Greatest Gainer on both the Adult Pop Songs airplay chart, where it bounds 32-21 (up 222 percent in plays), and Pop Songs (40-26; up 211 percent).
