Jason Aldean is set to secure his second No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart, as his new release, Old Boots, New Dirt, seems destined for the top slot. Industry sources forecast the album — which was released on Oct. 7 through Broken Bow Records — to sell around 280,000 to 300,000 copies in the week ending Oct. 12.

If Aldean sells that many copies, it will earn him the second-largest sales week of 2014, behind the arrival of Coldplay‘s Ghost Stories, which barged in at No. 1 with 383,000 sold in the week ending May 25 (according to Nielsen SoundScan).
Old Boots, New Dirt follows Aldean’s chart-topping set Night Train, which rolled in at No. 1 back in 2012, selling 409,000 in its first week. Old Boots, New Dirt will easily nab Aldean not only his second leader, but also his fifth top 10 set.
Other albums on course for high debuts on the chart include Hozier‘s self-titled album (50,000), Weezer‘s Everything Will Be Alright In the End (30,000), Alex & Sierra‘s It’s About Us (25,000 to 30,000) and Stevie Nicks‘ 24 Karat Gold: Songs From the Vault (25,000).
