The chart’s methodology blends weekly additions of friends/fans/followers with artist page views and engagement. The chart’s latest tracking week ended Oct. 31.
IZ*ONE debuts at No. 28 while readying its first full-length album, Bloom*Iz, due Nov. 11. The 12-piece girl group, which records a mixture of K-pop and J-pop material, saw a boom of 399% in Twitter mentions (128,000 total) and 325% in Twitter reactions (249,000) in the Oct. 25-31 tracking week while teasing the new release.
Heart*Iz, IZ*ONE’s last EP, debuted at No. 6 on Billboard’s World Albums chart dated April 13, the group’s best World Albums rank yet.
The other two debuts from the K-pop world fall 20 and 21 positions, respectively, below IZ*ONE. First, at No. 48, ONEUS debuts with 147,000 Twitter reactions and 55,000 Twitter mentions, boosts of 82% and 91%, respectively. A six-piece K-pop boyband that debuted last year, ONEUS’ Social 50 debut comes nearly a month after the No. 15 debut of its latest EP, Fly with Us, on the Oct. 12-dated World Albums tally. The group’s latest social engagement came amid the release of a new performance video for “Lit” and preceded ONEUS’ first U.S. tour, which kicked off Nov. 3 in New York.
One spot below, A.C.E. debuts on the Social 50 at No. 49. The five-piece K-pop boyband bows with 127,000 Twitter reactions and 58,000 Twitter mentions, as well as 16,000 new YouTube subscribers organized mostly around the release of the music video for “Savage” on Oct. 29. A.C.E.’s latest EP, Under Cover, reached No. 9 on the World Albums list dated June 1.
