Spotify Hires Former Interscope CFO Jeremy Erlich as Head of Music Strategy
In his new role, Erlich will focus on bolstering the streaming giant's relationships with the creative community.

Former Interscope Records CFO Jeremy Erlich is moving over to Spotify, where he will serve as head of music strategy.
With the move, Erlich caps a three-year run at the label, where he also served as executive vp, business development. He joins a Spotify team that includes global head of artist and label marketing Marian Dicus and head of artist and talent relations Chaka Zulu, reporting directly to Spotify global head of music Nick Holmsten in Los Angeles.
In an Instagram post announcing his new role, Erlich detailed that he will be responsible for the North American editorial and global curation strategy teams, along with the music team’s strategy and operations, working to bolster the streaming giant’s “relationships with the creative community.”
“I’m excited that my efforts will remain focused on artists, songwriters, producers, labels and publishing partners,” he continued. “Thanks to Daniel [Ek], Dawn [Ostroff] and Nick for the amazing opportunity.”
Since joining Interscope in April 2016, the Paris-born Erlich has worked on developing opportunities for the label’s roster on new technology, platforms and services, and played an instrumental role in signing K-pop sensations BLACKPINK. A 2015 alum of Billboard‘s 40 Under 40 list, he previously ran corporate development for Universal Music Group, where he was heavily involved in the acquisition of EMI Records.
Erlich left Interscope earlier this year through mutual agreement and was replaced by Annie Lee in the CFO position.
UPDATE: Erlich left his CFO role at Interscope earlier this year. An earlier version of this story incorrectly identified Erlich as Interscope’s current CFO.
