iHeartMedia announced an exclusive partnership with Mexican media company Grupo ACIR on Monday (Oct. 29) that will bring iHeartRadio to Mexico. The official launch of iHeartRadio Mexico will be Nov. 3 at the iHeartRadio Fiesta Latina, which features performances from Pitbull, Nicky Jam, Steve Aoki, Becky G and more.
As a result of the agreement, live broadcast and streaming stations, plus podcasts, across Mexico and the U.S. are now available on one platform throughout Mexico. Additionally, listeners will have access to iHeartMedia’s roster of internationally recognized company-branded events.
“We are excited to expand our partnership with Grupo ACIR to launch iHeartRadio Mexico and now make iHeartRadio available across all of North America,” said Darren Davis, president of iHeartRadio and iHeartMedia Networks Group. “To extend iHeartRadio’s footprint across Mexico allows us to expand our brand and reach to even more listeners globally.”
“This partnership will allow us to better connect with our audience by delivering an incredible free music listening experience and providing amazing technology to our users and partners,” added Antonio Ibarra, CEO of Grupo ACIR. “Our advertisers will also benefit from new comprehensive digital tools to reach their consumers more efficiently.”
